Description :	First Presbyterian's winning baseball team. During the 1920s some of the churches in Truro competed in the Church Baseball League. The teams were First Presbyterian, St. John's Anglican, Immanuel Baptist, Catholic, First Baptist and the Methodist Church. The playoffs for the 1921 season wrapped up on August 4th and the next day the Truro Daily News reported on the game. First Presbyterian won the series, defeating Immanuel Baptist. The team photograph above does not identify the players but the newspaper lists the following players: Gladwin, Archibald, Baker, R. Murray, Christie, G. Murray, Malcolm, Smith and Stevenson. Some of the gentlemen standing at the rear of the photo are identified: left to right: Derrick Wellard, _?_, Clarence MacDonald, Rev. John Mutch and Lou Christie. Note the team uniforms feature the initials F and P for First Presbyterian.
