Description : British War Medal 1914-1918 Blue, black, white, gold, silver There is a ribbon that consists of 7 stripes blue, black, white, and gold.  The ribbon is the same on back. There is a silver plain straight,  non-swiveling suspender. The medal itself is circular. One side of the silver medal shows King George V bareheaded looking to left. Around him it reads Georgelvs V Britt: OM: REX ET IND: IMP - all caps. On the other side there is a horseman, St. George armed with sword. Near upper rim is the Sun of Victory. The horse is tramping Prussian shield and the skull and cross-bones. The dates 1914-1918 appear in left and right. Along the rim it reads- 2340 540 Pte. C.F. MacMullen 44-Can I.N.F (Infautry)
Fonctions : There were 427,933 issued to Canadains in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) and 6,500,000 in total. The medal was awarded to all ranks Canadian overseas military forces who came from Canada bet. 5 Aug 1914- 11 Nov 1918, or who served in a theatre of war.
