| Description : | Brown leather log book; tall slender book with brown suede cover embossed with a border of loops and diamonds with connects at the four corners to smaller inner rectangle of leaves and scrolls. Pages of the book are divided into ledger accounts; many pages are missing. The inside front and back cover there is much writing and small drawings. |
| Commentaires : | Log book of the ship Nancy. Recorded are course direction, winds, weather conditions, goods on board, and occurrences of particular interest to the voyages. The earliest records are dated March 26th, 1794. It belonged to Captain Alexander Francis Larkin before coming into the possession of the Meggison family. Names that are written on the inside front cover include: Alexander William Meggison, George Belmount, William Paterson, and Stephen de Dehoen. |
