| Description : | A black leather forage cap, with a small visor, with gold treaded embroidery and a gold ribbon with Canadian maple leaf embossed on the ribbon. The cap also has a small gold pom pom on the top of the cap and an embroidered gold design along the rim of the visor. |
| Commentaires : | Shortly after Prince Edward Island joined Confederation in 1873, the Canada Militia Act of 1875 reorganized all Militia units. Thus, in 1875 the Prince Edward Island Regiment was born, under the name of 82nd Queens County Provisional Battalion of Infantry. This Regiment was sent as a contingent of volunteers to the Boer War in 1899, earning the Regiment's first Battle Honor, South Africa. Reference:http://www.army.forces.ca/pei_regt/history.asp |
