Commentaires : | From research, the fork was made by William Hutton & Sons- Sheffield. The firm was established in Birmingham in 1800 by William Hutton, and transferred to Sheffield in 1832. The firm benefitted from the booming market for luxury serving and eating utensils toward the end of the 1800's. After the founders death the business was continued under the style of William Hutton by his son William Carr Hutton. The firm was transformed into William Hutton & Sons in 1864 and William and William Hutton & Sons Ltd. From 1893- 1920. Hutton's was eventually amalgamated into the firm James Dixon & Sons in the 1920's who continued to produce goods under the William Hutton & Sons brand name. |
