Description : | Acetylene gas regulator used to regulate gas buoy lights. Circular, made of brass, painted red. Rubber hose fragment on each side. |
Commentaires : | Used of the regulating of acetylene gas in gas buoys. An old device not used much on Prince Edward Island, unless in the shops. Used in a Dallon light, it would have had a pan underneath it and been hooked up to acetylene tanks via the rubber hoses. This would not have been used at West Point Lighthouse and this style wouldn't have been used after the 1950's in Prince Edward Island as bouys with calcium carbide would have been removed.
