Description : Brown, high-back, wood wheelchair with caned seat and back, and leg rests. Foot rests are wood. Features five spoke wheels. The larger inside wheels are rubber; the outside wood wheels are smaller in size. Push handle at the back is attached to two wood lengths that curve outward at the top. Small identity plaque on the back crossbar is set in the centre. The framework and attachments are held together with nuts, bolts, and screws and nails. The seat has a metal strip across the front held in place with screws. Two decorative wood pieces rest between the chair seat and the underside U frame. Back of the seat is slightly curved. Metal works under the chair seat include a curled metal piece at each side with precut slots to accept the various leg rest positions. There is a wood cross bar behind the leg rests at the bottom that blocks the rests from moving further back. The leg rests are held to the front of the seat with two large hinges at the top of each rest on the underside. There is also a metal rod, coiled at the top that runs down the side of each rest. Two fold-up foot rests are attached to the leg rests and held to the wood with an adjustable L bracket. The chair back is adjusted by unscrewing a nut at the back of the arm. Positions are set with cog works. There is a U shaped wood frame under the seat that accommodates a small rear, rubber, spoke wheel that revolves in all directions. This wheel is held to the U frame with a metal bracket.
