| Description : | Two bottle inkwell set sits on a black steel tray base with a raised platform at the centre. Base is trimmed with a knob like pattern around all sides. Engraved leaf and curlycue design adorns the inside of the tray. The well holding frame consists of three upright decorative parts that are bolted at the tray underside. When the bottles are fully tipped forward, they sit on a small raised post that serves as a rest for the bottles. Between the uprights are two axles. On the lower axle, two glass ink bottles tip forward and back. When tipped back, the bottles are capped by flat round iron tops that are mounted on the upper axle. On the front left corner on the underside shows a raised image ?. Six small holes are visible on the underside of the tray. A screw at the ends of each axle allows for disassembly. |
