Description : A glass plate with a white background is edged in gold gilt. The gilt is also used to form a circle around the photo of Father Bernard Broderick which is centered on the front of plate. The photo is colored and is sealed to the plate using a heated process. Outer rim of plate provides information on Father Broderick as described above. The plate is centered in a piece of pressed wood which has been covered with blue velvet fabric. The matting is inserted in an octagonal shaped wooden frame which has been smoothly finished and varnished. Edges of frame are molded and risen. Wood on back of frame is unfinished. The matting is held in place with four clamps, each consisting of two metal bars tipped in black rubber and screwed to the edge of frame. Each section of frame is glued and stapled to hold them together.
