| Description: | This composite photo consists of twenty nine 5 X 7.5 cm black and white photos arranged in a trapezoidal shape around the words "St. Michael's Farewell" and mounted on a piece of ivory colored matting. Each photo is outlined in black ink and labelled underneath with the graduate' s name. The composite is covered in glass and framed in a black metal frame. The four sides of frame are clamped together at each corner. Back of matting is covered with a piece of brown cardboard inserted into sides of frame. A brass ring is wedged into center of cardboard 12 cm from the top of frame. |
| Narrative: | This photo shows the graduates of St. Michael's Academy in June of 1969. St. Michael's Academy was then operated by the Sisters of Charity of the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph. It was staffed with a combination of religious and lay teachers. | History of Use: | This photo shows the final class graduating from St. Michael's Academy in Chatham, N.B. After the closure of the Academy, the photograph was transferred to St. Michael's Convent in Chatham and remained there until the time of its closure in 2006. The photo was then donated to St. Michael's Museum for safekeeping. |
