Father Leo is survived by his sister Mary Wainwright (Peterborough, ON), his brother Dennis and wife, Anna Marie (Miramichi), his sister Kay Schmidt (Edmonton, AB) and his brother Al (Bridgewater, MA.), as well as many nieces and nephews who were close to his heart. Father Leo studied at St. Thomas High School and upon graduating from St. Thomas University with the degree of Bachelor of Arts, attended Holy Heart Seminary in Halifax, NS. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Saint John by the Most Reverend A.B. Leverman on May 24, 1964 at St. Marys Church, Newcastle, NB.
