Vera (Colburne) Walker was born in McKees Mills NB on June 17, 1907. She learned to sew and crochet from her grandmother but crochet was her favourite. She briefly worked for Humphrey Wollen Mills "Maritime Cap" (a textile factory). She lived in Sunny Brae (now part of Moncton NB) for her entire married life and was involved with the Sunny Brae Baptist Church, Golden Rule Society, and Women's Missionary Group. She passed away in April of 1986.
