Commentaires : | In 1854, the government of England sent a set of brass weights and measures to the 8 County court houses in New Brunswick. At the time, there were only 8 counties in the province. This set came from the coal bins of the Hampton Court House to the Museum. Every kind of detergent was used to clean them and the work done by the late Fred Pickett and George Braman. The weights are 1 lb., 1/2 stone, one stone, 2 stone, and 4 stone. A stone is 14 pounds. |
