A removable wooden box, made of the same wood as the sewing machine table, sits on the table covering the machine. CR Model #1
Fonctions : The treadle sewing machine was a vital piece of equipment in every household.  It is the best sewing machine for heavy duty sewing and the user had control over the sewing speed by the foot pedal.  The single straight stitches created by the treadle sewing machine were, and still are mong the most durable stitches.  The users of the sewing machine made all manner of clothing for their families, quilts and blankets, curtains, upholstery and furniture covers.  They did sewing repairs on any ripped clothing or torn material.
