| Description : | A hand made square brick. There are several visible imperfections. Fragments of the brick have been chipped away and it is rough to the touch. The brick is orange in colour with grey material on the outside of the brick. |
| Commentaires : | The Treitz Haus (House) was thought to be built by Thomas Prince in the late 19th century, dendrochronological testing done in 2003 however suggests the house was built c. 1769. Jack Treitz settled the land on which the house stood in 1766, acquiring the land in 1780. Though we do not know if Jacob Treitz built the house, it is common to name historic buildings after its earliest known owner or significant occupant. |
