| Description: | The top has a circular handle that is a part of the whole object. The handle is rounded, then extends straight down, slightly curving in the middle and ending with a flat rectangular shaped piece. |
| Narrative: | The hook was found along the Boutouche line and was made at the CN shops in Moncton, New Brunswick. The Bouctouche and Moncton Branch Railway was established in 1883. The name was changed on April 2, 1886 to The Buctouche and Moncton Railway Company. The line was sold to Captain Israel J. Merritt on December 20, 1894 and was incorporated as "Moncton and Buctouche Railway Company. The full line for passenger and freight was opened on September 1, 1888.The line ran from downtown Moncton to Lewisville, Irishtown, Tankville, Cape Breton, Scotch Settlement, MacDougall, Nortre-Dame, St. Anthony, McKees Mills, Bouctouche. |
