The badge has rounded corners at the top and becomes narrower, so that the bottom is narrower than the top There is a emblem on the badge that is a wheel in the middle with three gold maple leaves on the left and right hand side. On the top and bottom are scrolls with gold lettering. On top of the emblem is a crown that has a gold boarder with red colour inside.. |
| Narrative: | The Moncton Police Force began on April 12, 1855 when Rufus Brown was appointed the town's first Marshall. In 1883, the first police station was established when a building on Duke Street was purchased for that purpose. George Rideout became Moncton's first police chief on April 2, 1907 when they changed the title of Marshall to Police Chief. |
