| Narrative: | Our modern idea of a garden being either in boxes or small plots of land is a very modern idea. Usually the domain of women produce gardens supplied the household with food between the large field harvests. Market gardening, such as daffodils and strawberries, became cash crops during the early 1900's. Both of these could take up huge plots of land to the point of requiring these garden tillers. |
