Description: FOOD PROCESSOR: A steam cooker made of tin, maufactured by 'The Toledo Cooker Co. CONSERVO Toledo, Ohio U.S.A. Pat'd February 5, 1907'.The cooker consists of two compartments each providing access by means of a front mounted door, one on top of the other. Each compartment has a wire rack and a high sided metal pan. There is a catch pan in the bottom of the cooker which collects the water. The top of the cooker has a hole in the rear right hand corner, into which a metal funnel and tube insert. Water can be added to the bottom catch basin in the cooker through this mechanism. The top of the cooker is domed in a convex manner. Wire and wood handles are attached to both sides of the cooker at the top. The cooker is 30.5cm wide x 30cm high. 614.104.2. PAN A metal pan, press extruded, which fits inside the cooker. It has four circular feet extruded through the bottom of the pan, and a lip all the way around. It is 26cm square by 6.5cm deep. It is in good serviceable condition with a small amount of surface rust present. 614.104.3. PAN - See 614.104.2. above. 614.104.4. WATER TUBE - this is a 1cm diameter metal tube attached to a circular metal funnel. The funnel presses intoi a hole in the rear right hand corner of the lid of the cooker. The funnel is 5.2cm in diameter by 3 cm high. The tube is 47.5cm long. It is in good serviceable coindition. 614.104.5. FUNNEL - Identical to 78.614.104.4 except no tube attached. 614.104.105. DOUGH BOX - A wood container, square and wider at the top than the bottom. Wood handles are attached by nails to either side. Dark brown in colour. This item came off the Notley Place, west of Olds, Alta. The place that was settled c 1886 and the house was fashioned after a Hudson's Bay Co's Fator's house. The great grandson was Grant Notley, N.D.P. elected member. Dorothy Harrison paid for dump rights to the homestead c 1967. The box is 44.5cm square at the top 31 cm at the base. It is 26.5cm high. One side and the base is cracked. It is dirty. Construction utilizes square nails.
