Description : | Includes cutting iron 0985.0006.0176 and wedge 0985.0006.0177. Made of wood. Long narrow rectangle, narrow across base. The lower half of the right side is cut away causing it to be 0.2cm thinner than the rest of the plane The lower edge of the lefrt is chamfered over 1.3cm causing the base or sole of trhe plane to be on;ly 0.2cm wide. The edges of the upper half of the plane are chamfered. The front and back corners are rounded. There are four fingernail shaped notches in the plane 2 on each side opposite each other approx. halfway up the plane at each end. (see op. pg. 338 for further information on these notches.) A hole runs through the plane top to bottom. The hole is almost vertical. The hole widens to go through the thickness of the lower half of the plane. The hole is shaped to house the wedge and cutting iron. 'J. STOUTTER' imprinted on front of plane. It is imprinted on the back end of the plane along with a '2' and on the base of the plane.
