Description : Made of wood and metal. Appear homemade. Cutting iron and wedge missing. The stock or body is made of wood. A narrow rectangular block narrow across base. The front half of the upper side of the stock is cut away. A wedge shaped hole runs through the plane from top to bottom at an angle of approx. 50 degrees. This hole houses the wedge and cutting iron. The hole extends through the width of the plane on the left side. The bottom or sole of the plane is rebated, for 0.3cm on one side and 1.09cm on the other, leaving a rectangular protrusion on the bottom of the plane 0.6cm wide and 1.8cm high. A shaving outlet is carved into the plane. It consists of a hand carved hole through the width of the plane. It is located to the front of the wedge hole and is joined to the wedge hole. On either side of the plane the woods around the hole is hand carved to taper towards the hole. The edges of the top half of the plane are chamfered. The top back corner of the plane is rounded. A flat metal bar is screwed to the left side of the plane across the wedge hole above the shaving outlet hole. The metal bar appears to be part of a metal ruler since it has measurements from 19 to 23 on it each corresponding to an inch. It measures 1.6cm x 10.8cm x 0.1cm. '37' is hand written on the right side of the plane in red felt pen. MEASUREMENTS: 8.2cm x 15.2cm x 1.9cm.
