Description : SQUARE -A steel square. A square consists of a blade or tongue and a stock. The blade in a try square is set at right angles to the stock. Unlike in wooden squares the stock of the steel square is the same thickness as the blade and the entire tool is made from one continuous piece of steel rather than consisting of two pieces of material joined together. The stock of this square is 30.5 cm long, 2.4 cm wide and 0.2cm thick. It is rolled off on both sides in eighth, quarter, half and one inch measurements. Inch measurements are indicated from 1 to 11. The blade on this square is 61.0cm long, 3.7cm long, 0.2cm thick. It has the same inch graduations as the stock. 'I & D SMALLWOOD . B'HAM ENGLAND' is imprinted in the bllade between th 2 and 3 inch marks.; Metal, Steel; width 30.5 cm; height 0.2 cm; length 61 cm
