| Description : | Electric Switch - Consists of a black on off knob which which is mounted on a round metal case. The case is mounted on a round white ceramic base. The white ceramic base is 1.5cm high and has a circumference of 19.9cm. The underside of the base has a rim 0.7cm wide and 0.4cm high. 'H & H 2259' is imprinted in the rim. The rim has two round projections pointing towards the centre of the underside. A hole goes through the centre of each projection. 'PAT APPLIED FOR PAT NOV. 5 >95 JAN 26..97 NOV 24 03' is written around the base next to the rim. There are four holes in the base. Two are plugged with red brown plastic material. The centre of the underside of the base has a circular indentation. 2.6cm wide. A metal plate is located in this hole. The metal case is 2.2cm high and has a circumference of 18.0cm. Two rings are embossed around the top surface of the case for decoration. One has a diameter of 3.5cm, the other 4.4.cm. A squared piece of metal 1.7cm wide is cut out of the surface in between the inner ring and the knob. The word 'ON' is displayed in the cut. Both the base and the case are covered with a grey green paint. The paint obscures some of the printing on the side of the case. 'H & H SWITCH UND LAB INSP 250 V 10A 125 V' is discernable. There are four cracks in the side of the case, one 2.0cm high and two 1.5cm high and the last 1.0cm high. The on off knob is made from a black plastic like material posssibly bakelite. It is 1.3cm high with a diameter of 2.0cm. Vertical lines form the ridges around the circumference of the knob. (The lines facilitate gripping the knob) The top of the knob is slightly indented. 'H & H' is imprinted in the middle of the indentation and is enclosed in an outline of a cross sectional view of a switch.; Ceramic; Unknown; height 5.7 cm; top diameter 6.2 cm; bottom diameter 6.2 cm |
