Fonctions : According to directory research, Annette's Ladies Wear was located at 1423 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, proprietor John A. Carstairs and salewoman M. Patricia Carstairs. In the early 1960s the shop moved to 1554 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver and was referred to as "Annette's Dress Salon". In the 1975 and 1980 directories the shop is listed with Mrs. Yanka Lund as proprietor. Possibly Mrs. Lund did not renew lease with Neon Products. The faint shadow of the previous user's name, "North Van Home?" is visible under "Annette's" and also filled holes from earlier neon tubing attachments. The sign may have been renovated for the next client's use under the Neon Products lease. See the John Atkin report on the neon collection in the Doc. Spec. file.
