Artist/Maker: Chisholm & Co., Brampton. From Silverthorne Estate. Mr. Chisholm was Warden of Peel County 1867, 1868, 1869. Born 1830. He was a Brampton merchant and grain buyer. Served on Brampton Town Council for many years.

Description: Oval shaped tin tea container. Canister screened in red, gold and black. Lettering reads "Choice Teas, K. Chisholm and Co. Brampton" logo is pyramid of three gold boxes with black scroll designs on the center. Gold scroll design around lettering and logo. Round lid is hinged to top of container. Fastener is missing. Series of lowered rings on lid see drawing.
History of Use: Kenneth Chisholm was a Brampton merchant and grain buyer. He served on Brampton Town Council for many years and was Warden of Peel County from 1867 to 1869.
