| Description : | A colour photograph with small rounded corners. A photograph of the Queen Mother descending a flight of white stairs after her landing at a Malton airport. The Queen Mother is wearing a teal, knee length jacket with a blue and white printed dress underneath. She is also wearing a teal coloured hat, a white pearl necklace, white gloves and is carrying a white purse. The Queen Mother is walking down a flight of white aircraft boarding stairs on to a long red carpet. Standing on both sides of the red carpet are unidentified local dignitaries and photographers. Standing in the middle of the carpet, directly facing the Queen Mother, is an unidentified gentleman with grey hair. This gentleman is seen in other pictures from this event, talking to the Queen Mother. |
| Fonctions : | The Queen Mother visited Canada from June 29 to July 2nd 1979. She spent three days in Halifax and four days in Toronto. The Queen Mother had her departure ceremony at Toronto International Airport inside an Air Canada 747 Hanger located on Airport Road in Malton. She departed to London aboard a Canadian Forces Boeing 707. This photograph shows the Queen Mother arriving at Toronto International Airport in Malton, on her way to the Queens Plate that was held at Woodbine Race Track. |
