Fonctions : Photograph identified as taken from the Bread and Honey Festival in 1977, however not 100% sure.Streetsville's Bread and Honey Festival originated in 1973 to celebrate the founding of the village in 1858. The theme of bread and honey was chosen to reflect the village's milling and apiary history. The success of the first venture led to the Festival becoming an annual event for the first Saturday of every June. In 1974, the Festival was incorporated with Mayor McCallion's husband, Sam McCallion, as Charter President. After 1990, the Festival's popularity led to it becoming an entire weekend event.
