| Commentaires : | This chair was purchased either at Newmarket from a local chair-maker, such as Caldwell or on a business trip to New York. It was called the Bishop's chair because Bishop Strachan used to use it when he visited the old Anglican Church St. Paul. Bishop Strachan sat in it when he visited the Roe family and found it comfortable. The chair was carried to the original church to be used by the Bishop during confirmations. It was the property of the late William Roe. |
