| Description : | Ski tips" by the CSPS, Laurentian Zone. It was owned by Dr. Douglas Firth. Features tips on such as where are good ski areas. It is a reversible book with an English and French side. The booklet is entirely in colour, and all the pages are full of colour and illustrations. It includes an advertisement for O'Keele's Extra Old Stock Ale, two pages if information entitled, "tried these hills?" that lists locations, hills, tows, lengths, heights and whether or not it is covered by the Canadian Ski Patrol. It then gives tips on trying cross country including possible trails, these tips are very obviously meant for beginners. It then gives background information on the CSPS. Finally, it gives a map of driving and train routes to ski areas in Quebec. After this map, the next few pages are the same information in reverse and in French. |
