Description : | Reindeer head and leg skin boot with liner. Reindeer head skin is for the sole with the nose of the reindeer placed at the front of the boot. The heel, sole and side strip are often made in one piece from the head skin with the eyes sewn shut. Toe comes to a point at centre front without a curl. Vamp extends to the top of the boot and is cut from reindeer with white and brown speckled skin decorated seam with red and green felt sewn into the seam as a welt. The side strip begins about half-way along the boot, near the instep, and extends to about 1" from the centre front of the boot. The leg section has a left and right side panel and a centre back panel which all extend from the sole to the top of this mid-shin-high- boot. The leg section is all brown-haired skin, in contrast with the white speckled front vamp panel. The upper edge is finished with a reindeer body skin casing. The fabric stocking is four inches shorter than the boot and has a reindeer skin sole and vamp for extra insulation. |
