Both her parents were curlers, Kim started when she was 8 and loved it right away. Started her career front end, playing second, played lead one year but wasnt very good and then started playing third, during her third year with colleen. They kept getting thirds that didnt fit right so they put Kim as third.02:40 05:05 - Kim says she understood curling right away, she says it was something she could feel, which is the talent, and she remembers she just wanted to keep getting better. Kim talks about how attention to detail, intelligence and wanting to be a bit of a perfectionist helps with curling.05:05 - 06:15 - Kim talks about the mental skills it takes to lose a game one day and be able to rebound during a game or after a game.06:15 09:15 - Kim tells a story of how they were wondering if they were a one hit wonder, lost 4 games in a row, their coach showed them how to channel their emotion, to either direct their emotion to the positive or to quit. The next day Kim says she played the best game of her life. Always forward never back.09:15 Break On Screen: Kim has won two World Womens Curling Championships and one Senior World Womens Curling Championship.09:50 12:15 - In 1983 Kim talks about admiring Colleen Jones team and their success. After she graduated in 1985 she started playing again. Talks about Colleens intimidating presence, almost a little bit scary, in a good way Kim says.12:15 16:40  - Colleen had asked Kim to play with her but she said no in 1990 because she had a commitment to play with other women, in 1991 when Colleen had asked her again, she said she couldnt pass up that chance. Nancy joined in 1996. Kim talks about how Colleen was a leader. 16:40 Break- On Screen: The legendary Colleen Jones curling team, featuring Kim Kelly at the 3rd position was inducted into the NS Sport Hall of Fame in 201117:15 19:30 - Kim talks about what made her team special, and successful. Had a very good leader, 3 other players that joined the leader and accepted and blessed each other, that had key communication, and all had a common goal. They had won 5 national championships in 6 years and 2 world championships.19:30 Playing video clip of winning game from Worlds.20:00 21:55 - Kim talks about how even if they would win, Colleen would come back and say, well we need to be better. Kim talks about taking their devastation from losing and using that for momentum.21:55 24:20 - Talking about how they did not make the Olympics and how they may have been getting a little worn out, and how mentally tough you have to be. 24:20 End- Closing remarks, Kim talks about how they would like to play as team Nova Scotia at the Scotties, not the entire same team.
