Commentaires : | This copy of Horace was owned by William MacPhail, grandfather of Sir Andrew MacPhail. He was ship wrecked off the coast of Nova Scotia in 1832 in his first voyage to Canada from Scotland. The book and a spinning wheel were all that he and his wife were left with to start their life in a new world.
