Description : | A sheet of black paper with eight photographs adhered to it; there are four on each side. On Side One: (a) A black and white photograph of _The Willows_, the Freeman Family house. (b) A black and white photograph of Winnie Freeman milking a cow. She is holding a metal bucket and is kneeling next to a large black cow that is eating at a trough. She has a white cap on her head. (c) An oval black and white photograph of a woman in a carriage being pulled by a large horse. Under the photo is written, _Lady_. (d) A black and white photograph of the Freeman siblings together in front of a building. There are four women and one man. To the proper left of the photograph there is handwriting that reads, _Annie, Jennie, Winnie, Allie, Mack_. On Side Two: (e) A black and white photograph of an unknown wedding party. There is a large group of people sitting around a table, with two people at the far end and more people standing behind them. The photograph was taken at an odd angle, below the end of the table. (f) A black and white photograph of a group of men standing in front of Ireland House. To the far proper left is George Ireland. He is wearing a hat and sweater with four large buttons down the centre front. (g) A black and white photograph of four young girls, varying in height and age, lined up along the side corner wall of Ireland House (outside the window to the 1920s Kitchen by the side entranceway). All four girls are wearing doark outfits. Two have large light coloured bows in their hair. (h) A black and white photograph of four unidentified people sitting along a fence. There are two men and two women. They are sitting in front of a corn field. The one man is wearing a black bowler style hat. |
Fonctions : | Alice (Allie) Freeman (1889-1959) married Edwin Ireland (1890-1967) in 1919. Edwin Stanley Ireland (1890-1967) was the youngest of 12 children born to John and Eliza Ireland; he was George Ireland's youngest brother. They had two children: Ruth (1925-26) and William (1928-). |
