| Description : | Glossy reddish-brown veneered chest of drawers with bevelled front vertical edges which are inlaid with blond/grey wood (rosewood and boxwood) in a geometric pattern. Four drawers with two brass drop-loop pulls on oval plates and a keyhole. Both front corners have been canted and decorated with rosewood and boxwood inlays. Condition Report: Good. Complete, clean, glossy, overall stable in current situation. Top surface is wavy. Craquelure on top near back right corner. Chip in middle of top. White paint specks on top and many small scratches. Some small dents, scrapes and gouges present. The inlay looks complete, but two small losses outside edge of the right proper band. |
