| Translittération de l'inscription : | en-tête en bleu: armoiries\ DEPARTEMENT OF STATE OF CANADA; texte: Ottawa, May 3rd. 1947.\ Mrs. Ross Strang, M.B.E.,\ 282 Grande Allee,\ Québec, P.Q.\ Dear Madam, -\ As you are aware, the Canada Gazette of July 1st,\ 1946, announced that His Majesty the King had been gracieously\ pleased to confer on you the honour of Member of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the Bristish Empire.\ The insignia for this decoration is ordinarily for-\ ward from London to His Excellency the Governor-General of\ Canada. The staff of His Excellency make the appropriate\ arrangements for the investiture. I have ascertained that\ by reason of conditions in the United Kingdom which have\ retarded the production and delivery of the insignia, it may\ be a matter of some weeks or even months before the insignia\ arrives in Canada.
