| Description : | side chair-Boston,maple,red leather upholstry; Maple wood, red leather, brass tacks, forged nails, linen webbing, swamp grass stuffing; mortise tennon and pegged construction, glued; turned stretcher; over-the-rail upholstered seat; upholstered splat; dark reddish-brown stain.Moulded and curved crest rail; serpentine stiles continue to angled back legs; splat with tacked edging-reverse with visible lining; rectangular stitched contoured seat tapers to back; lether band tacked and nailed to seat rail; vase, block and ring turned front legs; spindle, ball and ring front stretcher; rectangular side and back stretchers.Based on: Original chair belonging to Governor Shirley.
