Description : A large bedspread consists of one piece of lace over a piece of silk  (five pieces). Lace has lengthwise bands of decorative scrolls, Three heavy bands with three smaller ones in between.
Fonctions : Collection donated by the owner's daughter Betty Simpson (nee Chipman). Collection inherited from father's family Eugene Adelia Miller and had three daughters. They lived on six spring garden road, Kentville. He was a noted researcher at the Kentville research station having propagated the "scotia tomato". He kept the family farm in Tupperville, Annapolis Count and it was utilized as a farm - his family visiting it on weekends. His parents were Louis and Florance (Williams) Chipman and the donor believes these items came from her Great-uncle Marry Chipman (b. 1874 d. 1958).
