Commentaires : | Lillian (Mom's Doll) This is the doll that Dorothy Etta Swindell played with as a child in Burlington on the North Mountain between Harbourville and Mordon. Her father and mother had a farm there where they grew what they needed and sold or traded for what they couldn't get. My sister and I put her in the old baby carriage at home and wheeled her around the yard. The nightgown that she is wearing is from Odessa Hudgins of Bog Road in Weston. This gown was worn by grandmother's daughters Edna, Lona, and Bernice. |
Fonctions : | Collection donated by Ruth Pyne, daughter of Dorothy Etta Swindell (b.1927-) and Donald Aubrey Hudgins (November 29, 1925 - February 10, 2010). Family genealogy on file. |
