| Commentaires : | William H. Chase (1852-1933) was born in Port Williams, Nova Scotia and gained the moniker "Apple King of Nova Scotia." He, his son, and grandson developed an maintained overseas produce exporting out of Port Williams as well as mercantile businesses in the Annapolis Valley from Wolfille to Kentville. This portrait was likely taken sometime between 1910 and 1920 and was donated by a descendent of William Chase.
