Dorthy purchased her wedding dress in a bridal shop on Barrington Street in Halifax Nova Scotia. They came from Digby to Kentville by train and then by car to New Ross. The trip from Kentville to New Ross took eight hours during the raging storm. They followed the snow plow and in some place the road had to be shovelled by hand. The weather by better on the wedding day but Dorothy was still sea sick at the wedding. Dorothy's sister Beulah was bridesmaid, Paul Vienoitt was best man, both of New Ross. Dorothy wore white flat shoes and white gloves and carried a bouquet of yellow flowers, posssibly mums. They were married by Rev. Freeman Fennerty and they drove back to Kentville with him. They spent their wedding night at the Cornwallis Inn and returned to Saint John the next day.
