Fonctions : Mrs. Stronach's Obituary: STRONACH, Bernice Mat - 70, Kingston, died August 28, 1994 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Oscar DeBlois and Dorothy Alice (Pinch) Bent. She was a veteran of the Second World War where she served in the RCAF Women's Division from 1943-1945. She was a resident of Kingston for the past 55 years. She also attended the Kingston School and Mack Business College and worked at CFB Greenwood as a secretary to the chaplains for several years. She later served as secretary in the guidance office at Dwight Ross School. She was an active member of Kingston United Church, serving as Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendant, choir member, elder and served in various offices in Kingston UCW and Valley Presbyterial. She was past president and life member of the Kingston Legion, Branch 98, Ladies' Auxiliary and has received her 45-year pin. For several years, she was a member of Evangeline Rebekah Lodge and served as noble grand and past district deputy president; secretary of Kingston Red Cross, treasurer of Kingston Seniors, canvasser for many charities; served on the Kingston School Reunion Committee and was an active member of the P.C. Women's Kings West Association. She is survived by two daughter, Robyn, Oakdale Calif.; Heather (Mrs. Gordon Lemmon), MEdford; three sisters, Mrs. Audrey Jefferson, Bear River East; Marguerite (Mrs. Jack Glydon), Kingston; Karney Jean (Mrs. Basil Wilson), Steam Mill; six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Lawrence; brother, Percy; sister, Joan. A Kingston Legion, Ladie's Auxiliary Service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Kingston United Church, Rev. Jospeh Manchester and Dr. JOhn Bartol officiating. Burial will be in North Kingston Cemetery. No flowers by request.
