Description : A rectangular black and white photograph (silver gelatin print) of six children standing according to height. They are outside standing in front of a hedge. There appears to be four girls and two boys; all are dressed in light coloured clothing with dark shoes/boots. The corners of the photograph have been cut off. The back is marked in handwritten ink with the 'Skynner ?', the number '12' is also marked in pencil.
Fonctions : Unsure who the children are in the photograph; they are only identified as 'Skynners' and are probably the grandchildren or great grandchildren of the Captain John Skynner of the Anchorage. The Harris family of Benares have had several friendships with various Skynner descendants over the years. William Skynner or 'Uncle Willie' was the sister of Emily Mary Louisa Skynner Draper both who frequent Benares. Their brother, Harry served as best man to the wedding of Arthur and Mary in 1881.
