Description : A sepia coloured photograph glued on to a cardboard backing. The photograph is of a young women wearing a large brimmed hat adorned with flowers and a large feather hat plume. She is also wearing a large dark coloured coat that is decorated with a fur stole around her neck. She is also holding a fur muff. A large necklace hangs from her neck. The cardboard is pressed to form a border around the photograph. Underneath in ink is the name "Kennedy, Toronto'. The back of cardboard is marked in blue handwritten ink that reads
Fonctions : Photograph taken when Annie Harris had returned from her trip to Europe. She went on a six month educational trip to Belgium, Holland, France, England, and Italy in 1903 where she celebrated her twenty-first birthday. As part of a 'Grand Tour', Annie was accompanied by Dora Labatt (family member of the Labatt Brewing Company), Edna Leonard, and Canadian artist Caroline Farncomb (1859-1951). Farncomb acted as their chaperone throughout the trip.
