Description : | The album contains 16 thin black cardboard pages with diagonal slits cut into them to hold photos. The pages and cover are held together with brown cord tied on the outside. The cover design features two cherubs in dark brown holding the title 'Snapshots'. The album contains 53 black and white photos and one snippet of a photo pushed down behind the first photo (2012.2.91.12) of "Granmum's cottage G.B. 1927". Some photos have the people identified: Frank Maddever; Howard Moffatt; Betty Winlow; Tiggie Noyes; Lucie Thompson; Lyndsie ?; Ester Noyes; Mary Moffat; Geoff Sayers with his Ford car; Wilma Hamilton; Alfred Sterling; Parry Schreiber. Other items: Two tickets - "Good for one dance, Cleveland's Casino" numbered 020017, and 020018. Locations identified are: Tommy Island, Muskoka, Lake Rosseau. Handwritten in ink at the centre top of the front cover is: "My Snapshots". At the bottom proper left are initials "D.L.S." (Dora Letitia Sayers). |
Fonctions : | Album belonged to Dora Letitia Sayers.Tig Noyes and Lucy Thompson were good friends of Dora's and they remained life long friends. The photograph with the man wearing a dark suit jacket beside 'our boat picture' was Perry Schumb who was an old boyfriend of Dora's. Other picture of a dark haired man in front of a car looking over his shoulder is identified as Jack Pluman who was a friend of Geoff's; Babs had a crush on him. |
