Description : A small coloured card and envelope. The card features an hand drawn image of the Harris Coat of Arms. It is marked in black ink and coloured with dark gold , green and red. The top features an image of a severed head held up with an arm. The top of the crest has image of an armoured helmet while the inside shield of the crest is coloured with green and has an image of a lion standing on its back leges. Underneath the shield are the words printed in red text 'ARTIBUS ET ARMIS' inside a ribbon. Leaves are drawn around the top half of the crest shield. The card is lined in dark cold around the edges. The small white envelope that holds this card is marked on the front in printed text that read 'Harris Coat of Arms'.
Fonctions : The Harris crest and motto translates to 'By Arts and Arms'. It reflects the family's military background. The crest and motto have appeared in other items in the collection in blue ink as well on several items of silverware.
