Description : A framed pucture of Jean Graydon with her father Austin.
Fonctions : Photograph was most likely taken by Jean's mother Bertha Shaw. It was taken when Bertha and her husband Austin were living in South River. According to the donor it was taken near a lumber camp in Algonquin Park. Austin Ernest Graydon (1879-1967), the son of John and Jennie Graydon, married Bertha Alice Shaw (1888-1972) in 1914. Bertha was the daughter of William Shaw and Alice Lowe from Vars, Ontario. Bertha and Austin had one daughter, Jean Graydon. Austin and his family lived up in Northern Ontario when he worked as a partner at McCreaney Lumber Company. He later returned to Streetsville with his wife after retirement and both are buried at Streetsville Public Cemetery.
