Description: A round silver metal container with a removal cover, inside are four spools of coloured thread, a gold metal coloured thimble and two needles. The inside of the kit is lined with a pink fabric. The  removal cover top has a material pad for holding needles.
Narrative: The Wood family had a large farm at Carters Point New Brunswick. They were a prominent family in the area and would have travelled for business and pleasure. At the time it would have been very common for ladies to have a compact travel sewing kit.
History of Use: This sewing kit would have been used by the Wood family, it is very compact and most likely carried and used to effect minor repairs when travelling.
