Description : The artifact is a tall, metal lamp that has a glass spherical enclosure for the light. The lamp consists of a rounded base with a small twist knob on it. There is a long, thin, metal shaft leading up to the glass sphere housing the light. On top of the glass sphere is another piece of metal holding the top of the lamp in place. There are two metal tongs at the base of the glass sticking out of the side.
Commentaires : This type of lamp was manufactured by the Tilley company between 1962 and 1964. These lamps were used by the military in World War II. After the war ended, Tilley became the generic name for kerosene lamps all over the world. This particular model of lamp was manufactured between 1962 and 1964 by the Tilley company.
