| Description : | The artifact is a metal plane with a flat base and an adjustment knob. There is a rounded metal handle and a thick blade I nteh centre. The blade is upright and the knob is positioned on the top of the plane. |
| Commentaires : | This artifact would have been used to smooth the surface of planks used on the hulls of sea going vessels. The plane would be placed on the surface of the wood and pulled along, pulling off the top layer of wood leaving a smooth surface underneath. |
