| Description : | The artifact is a long, straight piece of metal. There is a circular piece of metal at the end with another semi-spherical piece on top. There are black wear marks along the shaft of the pin and the pin itself ends in a point. |
| Fonctions : | This pin was used to attach a woman's salvation army hat to their hair to keep it from falling off. The ladies' hat is a fully brimmed hat with turned up sides that sits directly on the top of the head. The pin would be pushed through the hat and down through the ladies' bun in order to keep the hat in place. |
